Part 85

After a long drive of 6 hours , the driver asked for a halt , he stopped the car by a road side small restaurant , ram priya came out of the car , from the either side , walking to his wife , ram enclosed her in his arms , by her shoulder , looking at the mesmerizing beauty of the nature , ram said “ isn’t it breath taking..” supporting her husband’s shoulder , priya smiled ..

“ sahib ji…” the drivers voice interrupted the love birds dreams and they came back to the reality , ram looked back , and saw the man standing with two cups .. ram asked him about those the man extended the cups to them and said that he thought that they may like to have some tea , priya smiled in gesture of thanks and took the cups from him . the man smiled and left them alone again .

Ram looked at the cups after scrutinizing them properly he said “Potter’s cups!!!’ his face was winced , and his lips pouted out making an expression of “not so impressed” to his wife…

“what !!!” priya asked … ,

‘ do I really have to take tea in this , don’t they have hygienically washed cups for tea ??” ram replied . priya with a smile looked at ram and they with a laugh she said “ mr.kapoor …. This is too much , have you ever tasted tea in potter’s cup!!’ no was the obvious answer from her billionaire husband , but she asked , to tease him.

“ you should try once mr.kapoor …the tea gets a extra added flavor when it is served hot in potter’s cups …” priya extended the cup to ram , while her other hand lifted up to her lips, she sipped tea from it .. with a hesitation he took the cup from her , and smelled it , like he did for the first time when he meet priya …

‘come on !!! ram , change yourself .. there is no germs in this ..” priya said annoyingly …

‘ arey dekho toh jara .. kitniii.. I mean kitniiii … “ ram made faces again …

“ dekhiye if you are not going to take this then I m going to call you mr.kapoor again …and I will not allow you near me ..”  priya giggled !!!

“ yaar priya , blackmail naa karo yaar ..’ ram was still not convinced to take tea from that potter’s cup …  priya got angry over ram , she said ‘that’s it ….!!’ And walked to the restaurant ….

“ ok !!! you won !!!” ram shouted to stop priya , she turned her head bit left and got the glimpse of ram taking tea from the cup she smiled, finishing it , ram walked to priya and taking her open palm he kept his cup on her hand , priya smiled looking at ram , who then walked to the restaurant ..she followed her annoyed husband ….

Back in Mumbai …

Kapoor mansion ..

Nutz came there , she saw Ayesha and siddhant on the dinning …. Walking towards them she said “ unbelievable ….really Ayesha , udhar papaji …. He is hanging between life and death .. and you here ..”

“ oh!! Cut the crap nuts haan .. mein toh phir bhi idhar hoon , di and jiju .. where they are … idhar hain hi nahi ….” Ayesha said reluctantly to nutz concentrating on her food , nuts turned Ayesha to herself with a jerk and said “ mind it Ayesha bhai aur priya , agar ek baar pata chala unhe toh turant wapis aa jayenge so don’t test them…and you know very well for whom papaji is in this condition today …”

“ oh!!’ Ayesha stood up and shouted over nutz saying “ are you trying to  that think I m responsible for what is happening wd papa ..”

‘ I m not trying to …. I m actually thinking it Ayesha ..” nutz shouted back .

Sid was enjoying his food with out interfering between the two ladies , saumya who noticed nutz and Ayesha fighting …. She ran down stairs and took nutz away from there forcefully to her room ..

In saumya’s Room,

Saumya made nutz sit on the bed , and giving her water , she asked nutz to calm down … and said that they don’t need to bother or think about Ayesha or siddhant what they need to think about is health of sudheer ji , nutz agreed with saumya , they took the kids to the hospital …. As pre planned …

In the car …

Chikoo , son of rishab and saumya , he was seating wd the  Sharma kids on the back seat , he leaned to her mom and bua , sitting on the front seat , he asked about their destination …

Nutz and saumya looked at each other and after thinking a lot , they didn’t found a suitable answer for him , but his questions didn’t stop … nutz said helplessly said “ beta wo hum naa Sharma nanu ko dekhne jaa rehe hain …”

‘ why !!mamma ..” ahana , nutz daughter asked out of her enthusiasm …

‘wo beta !!’ nutz stammered and tried to find out an answer but she failed ….  Nutz and saumya looked at each othere , saumya said “ beta , app logo ko ice cream khani hain ..’ anshul nutz son said “ haa… bua wali kulfi khani hain …” saumya drove the car to the kulfi stalls …  the kids jumped from the car , they ran to the kulfi wal who is familiar to them , they asked for the kulfies , nutz signaled the kulfi wala to give them kulfies …. The kids sat on a beach and enjoyed their kulfies ….

Saumya and nutz looked at kids , nutz said “ yaar inn logo se nahi hoga …. Kya batayenge …. Inhe … papaji ko kya hua hain kaise hua hain … they are not so matured yaar ….”  Saumya agreed wd nutz …. They stood quiet for a moment , and after that nutz asked saumya to take the kids to KM , and she will be find a public transport to the hospital , saumya agreed wd her . nutz after spending time wd the kids left for the hospital ….

Back in Kashmir …

On the way to Leh Ladhak …

Priya was fast asleep , resting her head on ram’s shoulder , he wrapped her in his arms … he was looking outside … enjoying the scenic view … he looked at priya , who was peacefully sleeping in his arms , jerking her a bit , he managed to take priya out from her dreamland …

“ kya ram , utha diya appne … kitni pyaari sapna dekh rah thi …” priya snuggled more to ram …

Caressing her head , ram asked her about her dream , she in the same position looked at ram , with a naughty smile she said “ dekh rahi thi kuch …khas ….. app aur mein ….” She blushed …

“ hmm.. then.. aage …” ram smiled ….

“app aur mein … naa … I mean app aur mein …. Kitne …kitne …..” priya paused , and ram impenitently asked her to narrate her dream …  priya clearing her throat said “ app aur mein ..kitne ..kitne buddhe ho gaye hain ..” she laughed …..

Ram annoyingly said “ chalo dikhati hoon tumhe mein kya hoon … chalo toh sahi .. then you will see what is what …” he crushed priya more to himself …while priya asked what he is planning to do … ram and priya enjoyed every moment together ….

Mumbai ….

Hospital ….

Nutz informed karthik and rishab about the problem they faced with the juniors . The doctor came there and informed them that sudheer ji is not at all responding to their medicines …. Karthik sat on the chair , shipra broke into tears … they felt shattered ….. rishab looked around and said “ ok .. doctor … give us a day … the person who can cure sudheer uncle will be here …”  the doctor asked them to pray to the GOD and left from there …

Rishab was about to call , ram , nutz stopped him , and said that ram priya has managed a few time out for themselves , so not to disturb them , rishab said that , priya is the only person who can .. get sudheer uncle out from the trauma ….

He asked her to call vikram at venice , and he dialed ram’s number …. Rishab failed to reach ram even after 11 th attempt he failed to reach ram , but he didn’t gave up …. He tried ….

On the other hand , nutz got vikram on line , after hearing the news vikram said that , if no flight is available , they are returning , hiring a chattered flight ….” 

Venice …..

Vikram disconnected the call , they were on a boat ride there … he asked the co ordinator to drop them to the land … neha asked him about his restlessness , pihu, khush and the shergill kids asked too, looking blankly at neha he said what nuts informed him …. Pihu dropped down to the seat , khush consoled her , controlling his emotions …

‘hum kabhi wapis jayenge ..uncle …” pihu asked …

“ ASAP …” vikram said …..

Mumbai !!!!

Rishab was lucky that time , ram’s  phone rang …..

Few hours away from Leh , ram and priya laughing and pulling each other’s leg , having a blissful journey , as ram’s phone rang , priya annoyingly said “ jenny huyi naa toh mein phone pekh dungi …”

‘ arey baba dekhne toh do …” ram pulled out the phone , with a smile he showed the display to priy and said “ rishab … le lu ….”  Priya smiled , ram received the call .. and with a smile said “ haa rishab bol …’

“ Bhai …..” rishab could say in a heavy voice , which made ram tensed …. But he dot allowed to come it on his face , he again said “ kya hua rishab …”

‘ bhai .. sudheer uncle !!” rishab uttered ….

“ bhai sahib stop !!!” ram said … , he asked the driver to park the car aside , he came down , asking priya to seat inside .. priya looked at ram and tried to guess what he is talking but she failed …. She wanted to get out from the car , the driver stopped her and said “ mem sahib … bahut fislan hain … aur khai bhi gehra hain .. maat jayiye … babu theek hain .. mein dekhta hoon …” the driver … got out from the car ….

Ram over phone wd rishab …

‘ kya hua hain papa ji ko ..rishab …” ram asked …  rishab briefed what and how the incident happened …. And also informed that sudheer ji;s health  is very critical and priya is the only hope to get him back …. Ram turned and priya’s smiling face came infront of him , he turned back and closing his eyes said “ we were on our way too Leh , mujhe Srinagar wapis ana padega … and I m cancelling the trip , and coming back right now , but if priya calls you and asks why I canceled the trip say her that , I have cancelled for official purpose , I don’t want her to break down here …..”

“ but bhai ,, idhar ake….” Rishab paused , as ram said “ rishab dekh …. Udhar i will handle .,… meri biwi hain I know her better than you .. bas …. If she calls you .. then tell her that I have cancelled all the trip for a business deal …. What I m going to tell her right now …”

“ ok bhai ….” Rishab agreed …. 

“ just send my car to airport , I will inform you when I m leaving for Mumbai from Srinagar ok !!” ram said … rishab agreed wd ram ….

Disconnecting the call , ram looked back and said to the driver how quickly he can take them back to Srinagar … the driver wondered about their trip and his money obiviously … ram promised him to pay triple what he deserve in a condition that he will get them back to Srinagar ASAP .. the drive agreed wd him …

Ram walked back to the car , the driver followed him , ram sat by priya closing the door behind , and said “ priya …. Wo … ….” With a deep sigh , he said ‘ we are going back ….”

“ what !!!” priya said …

‘ priya … meri ek bahut hi important business deal kal tak final honi hain .. so I have to be at Mumbai , or else I will loose some 100 crores …” ram lied … to his wife …

“ mr.kapoor , app …. I mean mere se important … app ke liye 100 crores ho gaya ??” priya asked ..

‘ come on priya be practical … if it was a matter of 1-2 crores , I would have not mind loosing it , but it is matter of 100 crores … so I cant take the chance to miss this opportunity … plz priya its none of your headache , let the business be mine , and I know what is good for my company …and after all for whom I m doing all this only for you … and pihu , so don’t stop me …. Driver gari ghumaio and rush to Srinagar …” ram neglected priya , he called his associate over Srinagar and asked for a chattered flight … priya kept on looking at ram , and thought of his odd behavior , ram’s eyes meet priya, raising his eye brows he asked “ WHAT!!!” priya looked down and said “ sorry I was wrong , 100 crores really matters …. 100 crores means another feather on your cap …”  she looked aside ….

Ram looked at his annoyed wife and said in his mind “ priya .. kiase tumhe bolu papa ji ki tabiyaat kitni kharab hain .. toot jayogi tum .. I m sorry priya for lying to you …” he leaned back to the seat …

Venice …..

Vikram arranged a chattered flight wd the help of his friend residing over venice .. before the flight took off he called Mumbai …. And informed them about their return back ….

The sun after shining all day long at last dropped down to the horizon , the night came there , ram priya was still on their way back to Srinagar ..ram tried to talk with priya many times but she ignored him out of her anger . She became more angry when ram in a regular interval asked the driver to drive fast and when they will reach Srinagar …

The Next day arrived …. With tensed clouds roaming around , the sharmas, the shergills with the kapoor kids after a flight of 13 hours almost landed at Mumbai International Airport , and as informed to Rahul , he was waiting wd the car for them , from there they drove directly to the hospital . after a while the shergilss with the kapoor kids reached the hospital , pihu rushed to her bua , nutz informed the kids about sudheer , vikram and neha sat with karthik , he was devastated …

“ keep patience everything will be ok karthik..” vikram consoled karthik , he didn’t reacted to vikram , he sat in the same position as he was sitting , vikram looked at nutz , but he also didn’t know how to console karthik , neha walked to shipra and sat by her , before she could say n e thing to shipra, she cried like a baby , covering her face wd her hands …

After a few minutes , doctor came there , vikram walked to the doctor asking him, about sudheer , he informed that sudheer is still not responding , and they are trying their level best , vikram asked the doctor if pihu and khush can meet sudheer ji … the doctor allowed them but for a while and if sudheer ji responds back then it will be good . vikram called pihu and khush and they walked with the doctor to the ICU ..

Back in Kashmir…

Ram priya reached Srinagar airport , ram’s associate has arranged everything for their return , ram thanked him a numerous time , and he boarded the flight wd priya ..

In the flight priya sat alone , preserved with anger and sad , she never thought of a horrible ending to their blissful journey that they started .. she mumbled to herself , “ utter nonsense , how can I think that The Ram Kapoor can change.. I m a bloody fool that I m …” 

‘ priya , darling , its not that what you r thinking , just think it’s a matter of life and death …’ ram came and sat by priya ..

“ oh !! really , 100 crores is a matter of life and death right !! I mean its important than me than your wife’s happiness..”  priya shouted at ram …

“ priya ..’ ram has to stop to listen to his wife , “ I mean , if you have to choose between me and 100 crores you will choose .. 100 crores .. right !!!”

“ priya itni si baat ko itnaa kyun kheech rahi hoo ..” ram said in a disgusting tone to his wife

“ Wrong you are mr.kapoor why the hell I m talking with you .. why ??”  priya shouted as she turned her face other side …. Ram looked at his wife …. He said in mind “ priya I can tell you the truth but you will be shattered , I cant afford to see you like that … I have to digest what ever you want to say , you want to speak , but how I will handle you when the reality will come across you … should I tell you now why I m returning or …..” his thought broke as priya said “ mein airport se papa ke pass jayungi … I think we really need a break from each other ….” 

‘ That’s it priya .. it’s not so big issue that you are behaving insanely wd me … I do care for you , and you that very well , so stop behaving like a kid , we can come again , after wards but the loss which will happen if we don’t go back , will be unaffordable …”  ram realized he made mistake …. Saying “we”

“what do you want to mean mr.kapoor I don’t have any interest in your money ….so don’t take me in the run of 100 crores , and rather I will start teaching and working with the NGO s again so that .. you don’t get a chance to …” priya stopped as ram shouted “ shut up priya !!!!! just shut your bloody mouth … how can you think that 100 crores are more important than that of you .., I thought that I would be telling you the truth once we will reach Mumbai , but I have to tell you the reason of the sudden cancelation of the trip now ..”

“ what you mean ..” priya looked at ram ….

He turned to priya , taking her hand on his he said “ priya , don’t get shattered what I m going to tell you , is really awful …”

“ just tell me …ram …pihu is ok naa….” Priya said in  a trembling voice …

“ pihu is ok …. Its … about papa…” ram took the courage to tell her the truth ,he continued , “ papa .. is not well , he is in ICU priya … he is not responding to n e medicine …. You are the only hope to get him back ….” 

A realization struck her , she was so badly in pain , her tears made an escape from her eyes , but her speech went blank … she kept on looking at ram blankly ,  he jerked her , out of her horror ….she covered her face with her hands , ram wrapped his arms around her shoulder , she cried out “PAPA…….”  Ram closed his eyes , as priya threw herself in his arms , and wept badly …..
