Part 68

About a week after , it is a fine sunny morning ….

The curtains are flattering , slowly , the sunrays engulfed the room , ram smiled , looking at sleeping priya , he moved near her , turning her to himself , caressing her cheeks he said “ happy birthday baby ….” She smiled …. Opening her eyes .. she hugged ram and whispered “ thank you …..”

There was a knock at the door , ram priya knows who is that , priya sat up on the bed , ram opened the door , pihu came running in , hugging her mamma tight she said “ happy birthday …… mammmmmmmmmmmaaaaaaaaaaaa… itna bada wala happy birthday ….”

“ accha …” she tied her hairs in bun , flattening her palm to her she said “ my gift …..”

‘ what mom gift ???? do I earn …??” pihu smiled

“ well , you have earned a lot from bua .. where’s that ….you can buy me something with that …” priya winked …

“ mamma … you are too much ….” Pihu goggled , priya smiled back ….

“ waise , what you have planned today ram ….” She turned to ram ….

“ wahi … what we used to do everytime , and I don’t know if your kids have planned something for you …”

Priya looked at pihu for an answer , she said “ no mamma we have no plan , I know you don’t like parties and all … so we have not planned n e thing , just us  the family ….”

“ that’s good .. very good …” priya leaned back …

“ but I have some plan , badi maa….” Khush came in with a trolley , with a cake on it … priya smiled broad … khush hugged priya , and wished her … ram came and sat by priya , he asked priya to cut the cake , when khush added “ badi maa , I baked it specially for you , its eggless …”

“ really !!!” priya exclaimed , the answer came with a nod which meant yes .

‘ mamma , its yum .. no .. cut it no … mom .. I want to eat it …..” pihu is restless ….

“ shut up bear ….” Khush teased her …

‘ shut up you , monkey …” pihu replied back …

The kids were in a mood to fight .. priya stopped them , she blew the candles , the family sang “ Happy Birthday to You” for priya , she cut the cake , with the piece in her hand , she looked at ram first , then at pihu and khush …  she smiled , splitting the cake on two pieces she gave the first pieces to the kids ….

“ dekha papa … mamma loves us more than you ….” Pihu teased ram …

“ pihu … khush .. now … I want few minutes wd your papa ….” Priya said , with another piece in her hand ….

“ accha .. ok …” pihu pouted her lips , “ mamma loves papa most ….”

‘ hmmm …. So toh hain ….” Priya smiled , and waited for pihu for a reply ….

“ accha .. ok chal khush …. Hum chalte hain …” pihu was about to leave ….

“ your papa is my heart baby , and you two are the beats ….” Priya smiled …..

Pihu and khush , came running and hugged priya , they smiled …. Priya asked them to take the cake to the dine . pihu and khush left from the room , closing the door .

Priya looked at ram , she smiled …. Extending the piece of cake to him , she winked … ram took a bite , and fed back priya , he said “ so , bolo kya chahiye …. Iss bar ….”

Priya rested her head on his shoulder and said “ ram kuch nahi chahiye .. jo hain bahut hain .. now I don’t n e thing more … life is very beautiful … app ho , pihu hain khush hain .. aur kuch nahi chahiye .. mujhe … trust me ….”  She wrapped her arms around ram’s waist ….

“ phir bhi kuch …toh chahiye hoga …” ram took her near to him …

‘ kuch nahi ….” Priya snuggled into his chest ….

“ hmmm …. But I want to gift you something …….”

“ kya ….” Priya looked at ram …

“ ek minute ….” Ram stood up and went to the changing room and came out in a moment … he sat back , and said “ yeh …..” he gave a gift wrapped box kind of thing to her .. she looked surprised and said “ what is this …”

“ open naa .. then you will find naa only …” ram smiled …

Priya unwrapped the gift , she smiled looking at the gift …. It was a pic , of the family , priya ram pihu and khush , clicked at paris , during there recent visit .. it is a pic that priya loved the most , just under the Eifel Tower it is a perfect family photograph ….

“thank you”  priya looked at ram , smiling broad….

“ I know … I m just too good ….”

Laughing , they hugged eachother ………

DownStairs ….

Priya and ram descended down , seeing priya , saumya came hugging her said “ happy birthday bhabi ….” Priya thanked her , she went directly to kk , she took her blessings , rishab was next to wish her …. Ayesha came to her and hugging her , Ayesha also wished her ….. 

The family sat on the dine … to have the break fast ….

‘ how can your birthday began without us …. Haan ….” Neha and vikram came in … priya stood up she walked to neha , they hugged , neha wished her , vikram handed a boquet to priya and wished her …. She is happy , she looked at the door , expecting someone else ….

“ kisko dhoond rahi hoon ….” Neha smiled ….

Priya looked down …. And said “ wo papa ….”

“ aa jayenge naa …..” neha said  affirmed .

They sat on the dine for break fast , priya scooped her food , but she didn’t take food , ram was sitting by her , he looked at priya and said “ ok ok … now smile ….. and no more tang kheechai … arey she is birthday girl yaar …..”

Priya looked at ram rolling her eyes …. Ram smiled and raising his voice , he said “ papa ji mumiji choti , karthik .. come down ….”

The sharmas were at the KM , many hours back they just wanted them to give a surprise …. Priya is really surprised … the sharma’s descended down the staircase , priya ran to sudheer , taking his blessing , she hugged her father , sudheer blessed priya , shipra did the same …. karthik and nutz are also in the list to do the same ….

Priya is now very happy to be wd the family her complete family …… on her birthday …..

Evening time ……..

It is not a grand party , it is a family party , with family among the family … but pihu and khush is missing from there , priya asked for them , but no one knew where they are . vikram instructed rahul to find them . he tried to find pihu and khush , but soon he realized that they are not in Kapoor Mansion . priya and ram , with others became tensed thinking where they would have gone . ram called at pihu and khush’s no. they didn’t received the call , which made priya even more tensed , she panicked …

Suddenly the lights of the hall went off , there is an agitation among the family members , vikram shouted “check the lights !!!!!!”

But ………….

“ mamma ……..”  pihu called priya , she wanted to point out from where pihu is calling her , she was struggling in darkness , she called pihu back , suddenly the lights of the hall came back priya’s eyes fell at the entrance of the kapoor mansion .

Pihu and khush are standing there , with few kids of the orphanage , where priya and ram used to donate , regularly …….. priya stood up , she had smile on her lips …. Pihu walked to priya , halting at a distance from her , she said ‘ mamma , they also wanted to thank you for what they are today a little bit for you and papa ……”

Priya had tears in her eyes almost , ram wrapped his arm around her shoulder …

The kids from the orphanage , performed a song , for priya , pihu and khush is also a part of it … the families clapped as the performance ended ……. Priya thanked the kids and her daughter  & son … but something more is waiting for priya , as surprise , as the best gift of her life …..

Pihu called a person from the managing committee of the orphanage , khush took out a cheque from his pocket and gave it to pihu , she looked to the woman , and said “ mam ….. in our every birthday , mamma and papa , always used to help the kids and your association , I know , we don’t have so much to give you , equivalent to mom dad , but mam , these is a little thing which we saved for last few months , I will be obliged if you accept this little amount as a gift from us on our mamma’s birthday ….” Pihu and khush smiled …

The lady from the orphanage , accepted the cheque gladly and said “ mr. and mrs.kapoor I wish , every mother and father is blessed wd children like yours , god bless you all .. god bless you all …..”

The lady left wd the kids after a while , pihu and khush came to priya , she said ‘ kab se chal raha hain yeh sab … and … she couldn’t speak further , she looked at ram and said ‘ mr.kapoor , humarein bacche barien ho gaya hain ….bahut barien …..”

Pihu and khush hugged priya from either side …. The couple felt like proud parents …. For what their children did just a few moments ago ………
