Part 64

It was about 1 at night when priya , called ram , confirming that pihu is really in her sleep , in Mumbai , ram even as waiting for her call. They miss eachother still today having a teenage daughter now.

With one ring ram received the call,

“ haan ji … yaad aya mera.” Ram smiled.

“ kya karti , pihu was not sleeping , I waited still he slept “ priya said to him .. “ hmm toh pihu ke samne phone karne se kya hota??”ram said little irritatingly …

“ arey baba , she is now growing ram , samjho naa…. Abb app ko kya khehti hain pata toh SRD … and now if you don’t want to push your daughter into her ….” She gave a pause and said “ you know what I mean … proposals ane toh bandh nahi hote app ki beti ko …”

“ haan I know that , and I also remember that , many times you went to meet those boys , instead of her , mein jata naa … daant tod ke haath mein de aata…’ ram said little irritatingly …

“ oye .. super romantic dad…. Suno naa..”  priya … said sweetly …

‘ hmm bolo …. Missing me …!!!” ram asked naughtily …

“ haan sona …. Pata nahi kyun aaj bahut daar lag raha hain .. yeh toh pehli baar nahi hain mein pihu ko le kar bahar ayi hoon .. but aaj pata nahi … daar lag raha hain ….’ She exhaled a deep breath.

“ priya kya hua why are you behaving like this ?? sab theek hain naa….baby…” ram got concerned about her …

“ sab theek hain … jante hi toh hain kabhi kabhi mein hi … chodiye .. yeh batayiye .. kya kiya aaj … and dinner mein kya liya…wo sari cheezein khaya sure , jo app ko mana hain ..” priya asked in a stretch…

‘ hello … shant … nahi liya kuch bhi … I mean saumya ko jo peeche chod ke gaye hoo .. wais eek baat batayun..’ ram said naughtily ….

“ hmm …” she played wd her night dress …

“ missing me naa…”

“ phone rakhu ….’

“ no no suno naa… today naa we had a boys party ….” Ram put the phone away from his ears , he thought that priya will shout on him .. now… but she did nothing … she said ‘ and what exactly you all did ….”

‘ arey wah chilaya nahi …..” ram could’nt complete … priya said “ ram … sona .. I m really missing you ….” She felt like crying …ram sat up on his bed and looking at a priya’s picture he said “ hey , baby what happened … why are you…. I mean … kya ho gaya ….chodo I will manage khush’s suit from here and bol denge ki tumne laya hain … but come back to me baby , kal hi … why you are behaving like this , even I left you here for a month to US you didn’t reacted like this what happened baby … tell me …”

‘ nothing , just thinking .. if we get separated …. Then , kaise rahungi ….” Ram cuts in saying ‘ priya never say that … nothing is going to happen like this …baby you know naa I cant think my life without you ….”

“ same here ram … but .. bahut daar lag raha hain app ke bina ….” Priya said …

‘ mein aa jau kal ….” Ram asked ….

‘ nahi , mein pursu wapis aa rahi hoon toh .. bas app se share karni thi dil ki baat …. I m missing you badly .. baby …..” priya sounded low , ram smiled and said “ hmm aa jao wapis phir se tang karunga …. Aur kya !!”

There was a pause …

Ram said “ priya ….. “ she replied wd a “ hmmmm…” ram said ‘ I love you baby, I miss you ….’ She smiled and said  “ I miss you too sona ….” He said “ jao abb so jao … priya .. pihu is alone … go … hmmm….” She nodded and said over phone “ hmm … breakfast kar lena … kal aur ulta sidha nahi khana … ok …’ ram said ‘ haan baba haan .. and let me know the results ok … and pihu ko meri taraf se bhi ek best of luck wala hugie de dena …”  priya smiled and said “ hmmmm….”

They wished eachother good night …. And disconnecting the call, priya came back to pihu , caressing her hair she lied down by her side , placing her hand on pihu’s head she drifted off to sleep ….

It was then , almost 3 when pihu dropped a msg .. ‘ r  u there???” the reply came … “ yes …” pihu slowly got out of the bed , and coming out from the room , she called someone .. she said ..

“ haan hua kuch , … kya .. I told you … kaise hoga nahi hoga we need 1.5 lakh … I have 70k and you managed 60 k … now tell where from we will manage another 20 ….. duffer do something I don’t know ….. no I cant put this there … I promised mom to buy gifts for chikoo and BB with the amount if I win …… no duffer I cant … I cant use this …. Mom ko sakh ho jayega ….. abbe tuje kaise I mean duffer I gave you such an idea and you … duffer …… nahi hoga ….. accha … I m going otherwise mamma will catch me …. And I don’t know n e thing .. just go and sleep …. No …. No … no … go to hell … I need 1.5 lakh baas … kya yaar .. I shouldn’t have trusted on you … go to hell ….” Pihu disconnected the call , and said ‘ abb kya karoon ….!! God …. 20K kaha se lau , mamma se mang nahi sakti … mami bua se mangi toh , mom ko bata dengi … mamu toh , ek number ka … papa se kaise mangu …. Nahi I have to do something .. I need it ….i have to do something …. Chalo I have few days left … I will do something … I need it matlab I need it ….kuch toh karna padega ….. kuch bhi … I need in 6 days …. Kya karun ….”  She scratched her head and went inside and carefully without disturbing priya’s sleep she lied down , and hugging priya tight , she drifted off to sleep.

Next day …

Art competition …

‘ hey hi .. peas …’ a girl of pihi’s age came running to her , she greeted priya , and the lady left the two kids alone …. She preferred to go through the gallery beside .

Its was Priyanka Senegal , she took pihu to a corner and said ‘ what about aunty , you managed her …”

‘ no yaar mom will not allow me ….and I cant do n e thing …” pihu said as if she is defeated soldier . Prianka said “ what yaar are you a kid now that you cant manage your mom ….” Pihu said “ no I will not go against her that’s the matter …”

‘ what yaar peas, mana le naa….’ A boy of their age , rushal , boyfriend of priyanka Senegal came there and said . pihu nodded her head in disagreement. Rushal said “ hey peas we will have a blast , and that’s your disc only , kapoor industries disc , your chachu and masi runs it , and you .. I  mean khush is coming for sure …”

‘ no yaar khush didn’t revolted for a single time when mom said no for the very first time , he never goes against mom dad , but , I tried a lot buddies … but … sorry ….” Pihu said …

‘ apne maa ki anchal mein chup ke rehna … samjhi ….” Priyanka provoked her … she continued .. “ abb jab tera boy friend hoga , I mean abb tak toh ho jana chahiye tha … its you ki sab ladko se apne maa ki bat karwati hain and after the last incident where mr.shergill beat that boy , what’s the name , forget it … we wondered , if he considered him as a human or not … god … uske baad trust me , even rushal thinks about talking wd you ….”

“ don’t think that haan … kal bhi aya tha ek phone …’pihu took the chance to show off … priyanka said “ accha and what you did,…. ‘ she gave a pause and said “ I guess aunty … talked again ..’ pihu looked down ….

Holding pihu in her arms priyanka made her look at her and said “ look pihu you are not a kid … and 9 days you have to decide … and if you say one lie , kuch badi baat nahi ho jayega … arey mom dad ko maat bata chachu aur masi ko bata de , they are family too … so , family ko bata ke toh ayegi ….but pihu plz come out from your mom dad we are now grown ups …aand plz ….i m telling you for the last time .. and do n e thing , but …. You have to come ….”

Pihu released a deep breath , rushal said ‘ yes pihu , if you see where we are going , its your place only … so if you inform your chachu and masi , the whats the problem , they will handle uncle and aunty naa if they comes to know …. But you have to come ,, if you deny then ,….”

Pihu said “ ok ok I will come , I will do something … but I promise I will come … its promise … pakka wala …. Friends wala promise ….”

They hi fived ….  

In the art competition pihu came second runners up and got a prize money of 10k . she went to a mall for shopping …. In the shopping mall , priya’s phone buzzed , it was apeksha from Australia , who preferred to remain single and she runs a charitable trust in Australia , she now in contact wd priya and kapoors .

‘ haan apeksha bol …’

“ hi priya . kaisi ho and hows rock star..” apeksha asked .

Priya looked at pihu , she took the phone and said “ hi 3G ….”

“ yeh tu mujhe 3G  kyun bulati hain …” apeksha asked …

“ toh kyun naa bulayun , when did you came last … in our 10^th b’day right and then over phone or skype , or emails or 3g … I m thinking to call you data card now … arey yaar come naa .. bua …” pihu said …

“ hmmm I will bas I have called to give you some good news …” apeksha said ..

“ kya …!!” pihu asked .. there was a pause and apeksha said ‘ pihu , bhai has filled an application for your admission in integrated course of arts and fine arts here in Sydney .. and they have selected your profile for the final stage of selection , and just wait for your results and then they will decide … hain naa … good news ……”

“ its .. I mean .. I cant shout I need to shout … aaaaa.. mom …’ pihu hugged priya and said “ 3g …. Its wonderful ….. I mean … papa ne kab , he is the best papa ….” Priya looked at her with queries , pihu said “ lo mom ko batayon ….., pihu gave the phone to priya and asked for her credit card … she went to the icecream parlor to have a blue berry ice cream … priya got the news from apeksha … she said “ I knew it … and we kept it as a surprise for her re , and janti hain ram knew that , she will crack it .. and her results of 10^th  will be good too, bus … I have to stay away from her ….’priya sounded low…

‘ arey baba priya I m here naa … manti hoon I m not having n e kids , but I m here naa , I handle so many kids , aur sab se badi baat , I will keep her wd me only …. And more on daljeet kuljeet is here only , kuch nahi hoga , poori care aur nazar mein rehegi meri .. priya …. Don’t worry … arey bhai ko bolo …”

Priya asked apeksha to call ram and give the good news … priya disconnected the call , she is happy for pihu but , she is sad that she has to keep away from pihu , now . she went to the shop , to take the packets ….

In the ice cream parlor ,

Pihu took the first spoonful ice cream , she stopped and thought …

“ mom dad is doing so much for me , and should I say lie to them .. and go to disco , she on her second thoughts said in her mind “ arey …I m not a kid and I will not do n e thing wrong , aur iske baad toh doston se milna bhi nahi hoga …. Mom jane nahi dengi … no … I have to do something , and whats the big deal , chachu is family … if I say chachu , he will be there , he will be my support … and whats the big deal ….i will talk wd chachu …. And I will inform them … about the disco party … if mom dad comes to know … they will second me naa…yes … I will do that only … after this , I will not get my friends together … I will go to disco ….’ She smiled , and said ‘ but usse pehle .. 20K chahiye .. in 6 days how …. I have to get it …. I have to ….”
