BALH Paanch Saal Baad Part 95

To my readers,
Quoted, “Comebacks are really difficult” Yes definitely it is one of the difficult job to do. I love writing. I love to tell stories. I was into the best job of mines when I left everything in the middle. Everyone is busy in their own life, I agree. For me it was not busy that made me leave, it is something else that bothered me. I was fighting to put the negatives out of me and my life to get me back. Yes again I fought something that we usually called “Depression” But as the sages said, If you really want to do something it is not late to start. May be for the second time. My dearest Sister, Sanjukta, has posted the 94 Parts of the Story and She will be going to post the Part 95 too Sooner. I will follow the comments Of the Part 95 let me know if you liked it or not. Thanks for all love you showered on me looking for more like a selfish Weird.

Love ~

It was turmoil. Inside and outside different waves of worries, emotions are flowing. A mother, a daughter, a dotting father, a worried brother and a scared family stood vulnerable most at that point of time. After accident, it became difficult for Priya to recite all the incident from past, or for what reason it happened. Or it may be just she don’t want to remember this time. She wants to rest the past in its darkest secret.

Seated on the terrace, she looked up to nowhere, engrossed in her thoughts, accumulating courage to face the stark reality, tears escaped when her husband’s face blinked on the i-phone lying beside on the side table. Already in mute mode, she only tripped it over on its display screen, only to consol herself to be more strong and stand affirm with her decision already made and executed. Allowing the past to settle down in the sediment of the darkest corner of the heart, she looked back to the room. The open way to the master bedroom, gave the full visual of the snapshot of her only daughter, on whom she treasured her world. She is drowning, lost. Blaming herself as a failed mother, will not fetch any fruitful result at any manner. Without indulging in Blame Game, she wanted and decided to request her family to stand by her daughter in crisis. The mother, in her is strong, strongest! When she flipped to the other side the wife in her broke. It will be the first time geographically she will be parted from her husband. While the idea of keeping herself away from Ram, rips her apart, it startled her with the thought of surviving alone in a foreign land. The harder she tried to be strong, more she broke. The duty of mother and wife, Love for the part of her and invincible part of her life stood questionable today. The strangled sentiments ripped off the strong willed mask apart. Leaning back, as she closed her eyes, rolling down her cheeks the pain sneaked out.

Stalled in Mumbai Traffic, on the back seat of the black BMW, the successful businessman , today sit as a self example of failed father, a failed husband. He has tried to reach Priya for more than thirty times, the exact number is not remembered by him. He stopped trying when he confirmed the news of her wellness from his mother. He was always taught by his father, Boys don’t cry and Men emphasizes being the reason of everyone’s smile. To the learning accumulated, he pronounced himself to embrace all the troubles, before it touches his family. This time it set an example of exception. The most loved person of his life and his life line stands most vulnerable. All the good memories suddenly blurred out from his memories, while the incident from the recent past over casted. His mobile Phone buzzed with the indication of reception of a message. Disinterested, he ignored, the last two letters of the sender’s name as saved in contact urged him to look into it. It was from his wife. Not wasting a single second any more, he read the message unvoiced, “Ram, please come little early this evening, we have to take a vital decision and announce it too by today, itself” Decision? Announcement? Ram tried Priya’s number thrice, everytime it redirected to the voicemail. Impatient of being unknown from the thoughts of his wife, he almost hounded over the Mumbai traffics and driver. As the traffic moved, it was an order to the chauffeur to dash as fast as he can, fines if imposed will be taken care.

The distance and traffic that was supposed to be covered in an hour or few minutes lesser than it, was travelled in almost half an hour. Ram rushed towards his room, ignoring the family in the hall. Concerned, his younger sister tried to interrupt, his actions spoke louder. “Priya” He stormed into the empty room. “Priya!” her name was repetitively taken restlessly.

“Mr Kapoor.” Priya walked to the room in response to the relentlessness, from the terrace. “I am here” closing the glass door behind her she walked to the other door , and locked the same too.
“Will you just tell me what decision you took without my consent?” Ram asked.
“Nothing serious. But something that should have been taken much earlier.” Priya stood with her face up to him.
“What!”
“Calm Down Mr Kapoor.” There was a deep sigh, followed by the announcement,” I have put Pihu in The University of Melbourne for Fine Arts course”
“Are you Mad, I will not allow her to go there and study alone.” He didn’t allowed priya and continued,” And you Know Apeksha is taking care of My Business there so it is not ..” Now there was a pause, as priya interrupted with the other announcement.
“ I will be with her there.” Priya took his hands on hers, “ I will Be there.”
The conversation suddenly turned mundane. Ram turned back.
“Ram” She tried to turn him, with few failed attempts, she chose to face him, “Ram, We have to do this for our love. We cannot allow our love to drown. We cannot let her flow away. I promise you the moment she will be a matured girl, I will be back with you. But for now we have to do this.”
“When you have decided , then go ahead!” Ram ignored her and walked out.

She was expecting a worse howling, which rather ended up in a blatant blunt reaction. Next few minutes, Priya stood at her place, chalking out the plan to face her husband, where so ever he is.  Still Feeble, health wise, she choose to go for a search of her husband. Just outside the room, she avoided a collision with Natasha, by a fraction of second. On being asked, by Nuts about their spat, Priya promised her a detailed explanation soon. As expected, Ram was found in his study alone. “Ram” Priya firmed her hand on his shoulder. There was no reply. This time she stood by him, “I know it will be difficult for you and me, think about Pihu’s Future, it will look easier.”

“her future can be mended here also, amongst family.” Sharply replied Ram, without looking at Priya.
“I don’t think so.” Denial agreement was announced, “Our elders love her more than she needs, She is pampered, spoilt and allowed to do whatever she wants to.”
“So she is an example of Bad parenting!” Ram snapped.
With the prevailing silence, an eerie sensation struck Priya’s Spine, Ram has questioned her upbringing, his love. “Answer Me Priya” Ram asked. But this time also Priya had nothing Fruitful to provide as a response.
“So as I question you in the broader sense you have nothing to say.” Ram this time turned to her,  “Priya I am not that father and husband who will ask his child’s mother, his wife to prove the success as a mother. I also don’t support fleeing away. I am happy the way you brought up Pihu, Khush. I do agree Pihu is going through a bad patch, we need to counsel her, take her back on track, but this is not the way to do it.”
“There is no other way left Ram. Once I was the one to stand against her decision to study abroad. That was a wrong decision. She must have left alone to understand the need of the situations. But this girl is so much into Kapoor shoes. She has to understand, its her father who makes life so easy for her. She has to know the struggle of life.”  Said priya.
“Struggle?” Ram exclaimed, “What you are planning to do?”
“Struggle without the name Ram. This is Mumbai, where Pihu Ram Kapoor, Ram Kapoor works out.” Smiled she, “ That will be Australia, their country their place, their people, Pihu Kapoor has to be worked out or drowned. Any one of it will happen.”
“Priya” Ram held priya affirm between, “Please” now he shifted his position little closer to her, with her face between his hands, “Don’t do this. I will die if you leave me.”
“Sshh..” Priya hissed him to silence, with her hand over his lips. “Nothing will be worst Mr. Kapoor than Pihu being lost and do you think it will be easy for me?”
No words from Priya could sooth and calm Ram. He walked back to his desk, he looked tired even more than a few minutes back. Loosening his tie, he took support of his desk to look back. Priya can only see is eyes, a man who never wept, today his eyes gave up. His wife stood there most helpless, as a mother she was taking a major experimenting step for her daughter, as a wife she is doing the most unforgivable sin. Still weak, physically, it gave up. She trembled, the chair next to her, savior. Panting she sat there.
“Are you Ok” priya found Ram sitting next to her, down on his knees. She responded with a positive nod, but she didn’t looked so. With his help Priya stood up, Ram walked out of his study helping priya to the bedroom. They were noticed by the family including Apeksha, who has just arrived. Ram’s eyes meet her’s. In disagreement, Ram made Apeksha understand about his decision, she followed them.

“Apeksha I think you should leave them alone.” Natasha blocked her way to the master bedroom.
“I shouldn’t Nuts.” Apeksha tried to avoid her. Still having a blocked path  annoyed, “Okay what?”
“Why you are so keen to separate them?” Blamed by Natasha , Aprksha was the most surprised being at that time on earth.
“Are you crazy or mad, or are you back to the old days of yours Natasha. Get a life, I don’t want them to part their ways. I suggested Priya to let Pihu be my responsibility. It’s her who is not having full faith on me. And from a mother’s view she is right, why she should trust any XYZ.” Apeksha tired to defend.
“What you know about parenting? That she will trust you.” She was rude this time.
“Natasha, mind your language, I am not here for you, for bhai or for pihu, I am here because I respect Priya. I can’t ignore her anytime.”  Apeksha tried to make her way to the room, but Natasha again blocked her way. Before the Argument turned fierce, Ram came out and allowed Apeksha to see Priya, as her wish. Apeksha expressed her thanks and walked in.  Though Natasha was not happy, Ram somehow managed to calm her.

“Hi Priya!” Apeksha pulled the chair to sit by her. “How are you now?”
“Better!”
“Priya look, I don’t think everyone is happy with your decision. At least I am not at all welcomed this time.” Apeksha said.
“Apeksha, I know what I am doing and why I am doing. I don’t mind to be a selfish mom, if required, I will be a cruel wife.” Priya gasped, “ I really do mean it to be mean. But I want someone by my side, and other than you no one is really getting my point.” She took her hand, “Apeksha I need a hand to survive this battle, the war which is against my little girl, my husband , my life. I need a strong woman like you, please don’t back out.”
Apeksha could smile now. She was just a mediator , or rightly said a medium of survival for Priya. Though the journey is not going to be easy, might be tougher than it seems to be or expected to be right now, varying on conceptions.
Priya called one of the domestic helps, to take care of Apeksha. While she asked the later to have some rest, ignoring the family apart.

It was almost evening, when with almost making no sound, Pihu entered Priya’s Room. Priya was lying aback, but in full consciousness. She can feel every movement of her daughter. Pihu efficiently slipped inside the quilt, with her head resting on her mother’s back , she held her softly alongside. The warmth was reciprocated. “kya hua Pihu” asked Priya.
Though there was no reply, there was silent sobbing.
Affectionately, Priya called her Pihu, repetitively. There was no reply. Wet sleeves of Priya’s Night suit, alarmed about the depressed health of her daughter. With a little struggle she managed to sit up, with pihu lying on her lap, now.
“What Happened Pihu?” affectionately asked Priya. But she failed to get an answer even. With each passing minute Pihu’s Sobbing intensified. “Pihu, My decision is irrevocable. What so ever you do or anyone else.” She added with a pause.
“Mom, but I don’t want to leave Mumbai. My family is here , Papa is here and …” Interrupted by Priya, Pihu looked blunt this time.
“is that your concern, family, your city, your papa, or it is just the name, that is bothering you?” looking straight at Pihu she declared. Failing to reply, Pihu was pushed little back from her mom. “Pihu, the name that you are en-cashing upon, is of a self made man. If you think it is you, who is getting attention, by using his name, for God Sake, come down, get the fact into your head it is his name, that is making you feel like a VVIP. It is not you who is getting respect, it is Him who is getting respect. Those people laugh at you at your back, and feel bad for your father.” Red in anger Priya stood up, “If you really do feel for your father, do something that will earn him something, by using your name, obliviously Good.”
“But Mom my Friends. I can’t get a good friend over there. I have my school friends, who loves me. You can give me a chance.” Pleaded the daughter.
There was a casual laugh, a smirk, “Friends, I wonder how can I label them as friends, Good word is not in the adjective stocks, at least for them.” Priya turned, “Pihu, friends are not supposed for parting and trekking and travelling. Good Friends might not be there constantly by your side, in person, but they are those peoples who will tell you you are wrong, stop you from doing wrong, will cheer you when you are down, celebrate your success. Those are called friends. And the kids you go along with are merely using you, or better to be correct using your name.”
No words got uttered for a good amount of time. The atmosphere around turned more tensed and mysterious.
“But mom you can send me alone, Apeksha bua ..” Pihu stopped at priya’s gaze.
“Continue” said the mother.
“Mom I was saying I can take care of myself. Apeksha bua will be there and I need to grow up. With you around I will find it little difficult. If even I put everything aside, Papa is not happy, he cannot think beyond and without you.” Pihu now looked, to her surprise she found her mother smiling.
ho gaya” Priya walked to Pihu, “Pihu, what is announced is pronounced.” She was rude this time, sharp like never, rude like a cruel beast. Her eyes were indicating the turmoil inside, Pain anger distress, helplessness everything turned her into an emotionless creature, an unanimated object. It hurts her when she thinks of living without her love, and angers when she thinks about the brats that ruined her daughter. It pains her when she even manages to think about her daughter to be ruined. “And about your father, he is my husband. I know him and I can manage him more better than you.” Pihu stepped and was going to open up to say, interrupted by her mom again she was instructed to leave and reminding her about the journey, unwanted to her.
That night at the dine, Priya confirmed every family member including her family too about her decision to move out of the country with Pihu. It made Pihu leave the food in middle, Natasha running behind her to consol. Apeksha sitting like a culprit in the middle of the clan. Ram with his eyes fixed and lost in thoughts known to him. Elders sighed. They didn’t protest, because they knew how priya could be stubborn at times. She wished Good Night and walked upstairs calmly.

When Ram entered the Room, the lights were set off, only two night lamps with zero power paved the view of the room, known. He stepped in. Looking around he found priya standing on the open terrace. Hands crossed, loosen hairs playing with the soft breeze, with chin up she might be looking to the sky; he guessed; as she stood with her back facing him. Ram stepped and stopped. He chose to close the door behind him. He needed privacy.
“Priya.” With his hand on her shoulder he turned her and stood stunned! “Priya, hey ro kyun…” he stopped, and took her in safest and deepest embrace of his. She snuggled closer, as she wept.  He knew, she is pain, everyone knows, but the depth is only known to him. He took her in more caring embrace, letting her cry. He let her pour out her heart. Which may look easy for her to everyone is the most toughest thing she has ever decided to do. Ram didn’t want her let go, but now he knows it is needed. Her pain indicated, how tough the decision is but she has taken it, for the good fate of their child, their love. He helped her to walk back to the room, took her hands and smiled. She was surprised. Sitting by her, while her eyes surprisingly looked at him as if she is with a man known, but for the first time. Wiping her tears, he tried hush her shuddering gasp. “ No one will know the pain you are bearing at heart Priya, except me.” He smiled and continued to surprise her more, “I am the heart that does not beats if you are not there. You are that rhythm less poem if I am not the words. I and You do not exists if We is not the feeling.” With deepest breath, he came close to her kissed her forehead, “I love you, where ever you will be, how far you might be, I will be there always with you. You will be always with me.”
With her head rested on his broad chest, as they tried to sleep, Priya hide her face. Holding her tight on his arms , he promised her to walk along with to the uncertain future.
