Part 92

No one from either of the family left the hospital , nor the shergills. Vikram tried to convince ram to have some food but all went in vain. Pihu was shattered too , ram pihu are both blaming themselves for whatever has happened to priya.

Khush came there with Ayesha , he came running inside …. He saw everyone sitting with a pale face … khush looked at pihu , she was shattered , if it was early , khush would have consoled pihu , but he directly neglected her and ran to ram..

Khush : Bade papa , maa …

Ram , he looked up, keeping his hand on khush’s head : theek hain , hons ane de….

Khush :: Pihu ke liye hua naa.

Ram looked surprisingly at Khush , but didn’t replied.

Khush :: boliye naa Bade Papa.

Ram : nahi mere wajah se hua hain.

Khush : I know , jhooth kaha usne school mein bhi , sab se , uss vyom ki padhi hain ise meri maa ki nahi. Sabse  jhoot kaha … kyun meri maa aaj udhar hain … khush cried ….

Pihu looked at ram and khush , she couldn’t reply anything …. She repetitively banged her head on the wall ,neha stopped her from doing so ,she sat with her on the chair

 ram : mujhe behes nahi karni hain , jo bhi hua meri wajah se hua …kisi aur ke liye meri priya ko kuch nahi hua … meri wajah se hua … ram stood up and left the room.

Khush looked at pihu , he stood up asking for priya , neha took him to the glass wall from where priya can be seen lying unconscious in the ICU bed .. her head was bandaged … her hands were having bandages , needles were pierced into her body , machines were beeping all around … Tears rolled down …his cheeks , with a blur vision he could see his mother Ayesha standing behind him , he turned to her and hugged Ayesha tightly breaking into tears …. Ayesha caressed her son’s head …. Assuring that everything will be ok …. Neha saw Ayesha caring about khush , it felt little awkward to her but that time , she was not in a mood to evaluate Ayesha she was waiting for priya to gain sense …..

Almost a day passed …..

To hide from the sharmas , kartik went home , but he came back soon giving excuse about his newly started business , and with much courage , saumya and rishab has put the news to Krishna kapoor , who was not doing well those days , health wise but she was strong enough to take it … every one was praying for priya’s health ….

At about 7 a.m the doctor from the ICU came and stood infront of Ram …

Ram stood up :: yes doctor …

Doc: she is stable now … and we are shifting her to a personal cabin , she has gain her sense for few minutes , but we have get her back to sleep because of her pain she was going through due to injuries , her left arm is also having fractures … she is sleeping now , but as she is doing much better , and you are a dignified  person so we have decided to shift her to cabin with some support systems.

Ram got tensed hearing about support systems …

Doc :: don’t get tensed .. it is for her good , to keep ourselves updated about her vital stats . frankly if it would not have been you we would have not shifted her to a cabin , but as it’s a matter of the Kapoors , we are giving special attention so that your family can meet her , and she also feel good . now please excuse me , we have shift her to the cabin , we will inform you about her health , and once she will gain sense , you can meet her ….

The Doctor left , vikram came to ram holding him by his shoulders he tried to assure him that all is well … neha went to the idol of Ganapati Kept at a safe place of the hospital , folding her hands  she thanked god a zillionth time..

After dropping the kids to school , saumya with rishab and Natasha came to hospital they also got updated by the news , thanking god , they all waited for priya to gain sense again … and that wait was the toughest one … a long one …

Time passed in snail’s speed…………………….

At about 4p.m in the evening .. a man in a black suit came , he shook hand with ram , introducing himself as the Public Relationship manager of the hospital , he informed that priya has gained senses, she wants to meet her family they can meet her , one by one but not more than five person , keeping her health on mind they have decided .

With out any hesitation … the family asked Ram to meet her first ..he literary ram to the 6 th floor .. where priya was lying conscious that time. He got to know about the room number … running to the room , he opened the door , he found two nurses where fixing the dip and the blood that were going into her body artificially . seeing Ram .. the nurses smiled and stepped back saying priya “Ma’am see who’s here …”

Priya opened her eyes ..looked widely to Ram , as she looked at him never before …. The nurses left saying , sir call us if n e thing’s wrong .. ram said that now nothing can went wrong , he will not allow to happen n e thing wrong … priya was still looking at ram …

He stepped to priya , with a smile , he sat on the patient’s bed , cupping her face , as he was going to say something to priya , he lost the chance , before that priya spoke ……

“ who are you ….” Priya’s word pierced ram’s ears like a thundering bolt….

Ram :: priya don’t joke , bahut seh chukka aur himaat nahi hain baby ..he cupped priya’s face in his hands .

Priya  releasing herself from him shouted :: I said who are you ??Kaun hain app .. and app ko mera naam kaise pata …. Just .. leave me … hain kaun app …

Ram stood up .. he stepped back .. :: priya .. I m Ram .. your Ram …

Priya :: Who ram … I don’t know n e Ram and where is my family ??? Papa .. Maa…. Kartik ????? Ayeshaaaaaaaaaaa??

Ram could’nt believe what he was hearing … priya again screamed with her brother and sister’s name …. One nurse with kartik and ayesha came in , behind them were khush and pihu ….

Priya when saw kartik and Ayesha , she cried : Ayesha , who is this man .. and what I m doing here. Ayesha and kartik was in shock too , khush was there Ayesha didn’t want to miss the chance to be good in the eyes of him.. she ran to priya , holding her in arms , said : do calm down .. hum hain naa.

Priya :: maa papa kaha hain Ayesha ?? mein idhar kyun hoon kya hua tha mujhe .. aur yeh log kaun hain ???

Pihu in shock … : Mamma … mamma .. mein pihu ….

Pihu ran to priya , and she curled to Ayesha asking her who was that young kid … pihu looked awful shocked … the doctor with neha vikram and natasha came in mean time . ram couldn’t speak a single word , he was shocked … he just watched … The doctor checked the monitor , and asked sister for some medicine , the sister in minutes prepared the medicine … in the syringe …

Priya in protesting tone:: what are you going to do ..kartik … yeh kya kar rehe hain …

Kartik came and hold his sister in his arms , he looked blankly at the doctor , he asked kartik to talk with her : tell her about the accident.

Kartik :: di .. app ka ek accident ho gaya hain …

Priya : kaise , Classes se ane ke waqt ?

Kartik looked at the doc , he asked to say yes to her , with a nod to kartik , the distressed brother nodded back to his sister. And the sister on the other hand , pushed the sedative into priya’s blood through the little tube needle pierced into her body . Priya slowly , collapsed into kartik’s arms asking him about the accident … the room was over crowded … doctor asked every one to come out , asking nurse to monitor priya …

Shattered ram came out he leaned to the wall. Kartik was shattered too.

Doc :: this I feared …Mr.kapoor … but I feared of a total memory loss but it is a Retrograde Amnesia .. she has forgotten few chapters of her life , to which part she remembers that the time will tell , but I guess she has forgotten her married life , she remembers her bachelorette days.

Vikram :: what how can it b possible ..

Doc :: it can be , and it can also be possible next when she gains senses she remembers everything and again after a while she forgets everything , and this could also happen she don’t remember anything , we need to make her remember about her life , but definitely not now , not so soon, after a gap when time would have healed out of those physical and internal wounds . pray she recalls everything after she gains . other wise , we need to send her back to her life which she remembers.

The doctor turned to kartik :: u have to inform your parents now ..

Kartik :: doctor my father just recovered from a heart attack and that also for di , he could have recovered , but if … kartik lost his words

Ayesha : bhai , papa hi di ko sambhal sakte hain , we have tell him ….

Kartik looked at Ayesha , and thought of her playing with their emotions again.

Doctor :: do it fast please for her sake .. the doctor left with the nurse to add some tests and medicines to priya’s chart .

Ram walked to the doctor , no one knew what he spoke … the families watched ram talking with the doctor , and he in return placed his hand on ram’s shoulder . Ram walked back , he walked straight to priya’s room.

The sister stood up

Ram :: meine doctor se permission liya hain

Sister : ok .

Ram : few minutes alone , abhi yeh uthengi toh nahi.

Sister :: sure sir 15 mins please ..

Ram nodded back. The sister left the cabin …ram looked at his wife , sleeping calmly due to the effect of the sedative .. he took the stool and made himself sit by her . a medical equipment clip was clinging to her index finger of left hand … he took her hand on his , placing a kiss softly he ran her hand to his cheek . he don’t know what will happen next , when she will again come to her senses.

Ram :: Priya .. itni badi saza maat do …. Apne Ram ko maat bholo , baat maat karon , mayke jake rehne hain raho .. but mujhe bhool maat jao …. Mein toh jee bhi lunga , but humarein bacche kaise jeeyenge …. Khush already pihu kwafa ho chukka hain .. mein nahi sambhal sakta dono ko .. I was mad that meine tumhari paarvaarish pe sakh kiya .. priya … you are the best mother … aisi saza maat do .. please priya wapis aa jao … apne Ram ko pehechan loo apne ram ko pehechn loo apne bacccho ko pehechaan lo please priya .. please …. Mein maar jayunga priya .. mein maar jayunga ….

Ram leaned his head to her hand .. his tears fell on the white bed sheet of the patient bad … making the places blue …. Ram looked back as he felt a touch on his shoulder , it was Natasha …

Ram :: mein maar jayunga choti .. mein maar jayunga..

Natasha : chaliye bhai … priya ko sab yaad aa jayega .. please chaliye the kids need you bahut toot chuke hain wo dono … app bhi toot jayenge toh dono ka kya hoga please chaliye ….

Ram understood his sister’s point , he carefully kept priya’s hand back on the bed , standing on his shaking legs , he leaned close to priya , placed a kiss on her forehead . wiping his tears … he came out …

As he came out his two kids … came running to him , and hugged him tightly .. ram took them in his embrace , and consoled “ everything will be ok .. beta .. mamma will be ok very soon very very soon ….”

The shattered families stood there clueless …. About the future …
